A method designed for innovation
When it comes to lighting design, practicing a rigorous research and development process is as vital as using the most advanced tools. To ensure every LightCorp offering is creatively engineered and optimized, our PIPE method, or Product Innovation Project Execution, includes these critical steps:
- Ideation: Ideation, data collection, review, and approval
- Concepts: Planning, risk analysis, mock-ups, and review
- Development: Product specifications, timelines, supplier and material selection, prototypes, marketing plan, and review
- Production Design: Process flow, environmental evaluation, packaging, tooling design, and CAD drawings
- Production Implementation & Validation: Tooling, software, quality control, testing, training, marketing, and review
- Launch: Corrective action and sample orders
Lean manufacturing and quality control
Through our lean, reliable, and flexible processes, our highly functional lighting products are built to last. LightCorp has an ISO 14001 Certified Environmental Management System and an ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System. And our extensive in-house capabilities—including metal fabrication, electrical fabrication, finishing, and assembly—allow us to maximize quality throughout the process.
