Assembly Tech I - 1st Shift, 2 positions available

Position Summary:

This position is mainly responsible for the processing of component, sub-assemblies, and finish assemblies at an efficient rate; defect free, and on time to meet customer demand. 

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic reading, math, and computer skills
  • Prior shop/assembly experience

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily duties in a safe ergonomic manner
  • Follow quality standards to produce defect-free products
  • Perform tasks efficiently to meet or exceed established rates/requirements
  • Adherence to the Attendance Policy, including scheduled overtime

 

Essential Job Functions and Skills include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, kneel, and reach in a safe manner
  • Responsible for reading and following work instructions, bill of materials (BOM), wiring diagram, schematics and blueprints as required for processes within their responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing efficient setup/changeover of workstations, machines, and/or equipment
  • Responsible for practicing cleanliness and keeping workstations, machines, and/or equipment organized
  • Responsible for understanding how to complete and document all required quality checks
  • Responsible for accuracy and timely completion of all required electronic transactions
  • Responsible for presenting functional, clean, and well-packaged products to both internal/external customers
  • Responsible for adhering to the Light Corp. Code of Conduct
  • Responsible for support and active participation in continuous improvement activities (LCMS)
  • Responsible for completion of miscellaneous duties and projects as directed by supervisor
