Challenge

To reduce Shape Corporation's lighting energy
consumption while maintaining or increasing
current light levels throughout the 1820 Hayes
Facility.
Solution

The replacement of existing 400w Metal Halide
fixtures with Light's Semaphore 86 and 88 Series.
The 6 Lamp T8 and 8 Lamp T8 fixtures feature
an aluminum exoskeleton form-factor, designed
for its clean aesthetics and lightweight
manageability. The exoskeleton surrounds a
modular specular reflector system specifically
designed and engineered for even and focused
light dispersion. The Semaphore 86 has a system
wattage of 224w, the 88 utilizes 302W, versus
458w for the standard 400w Metal Halide.
Results

Shape Corporation replaced 95 fixtures with the
Semaphore 86. Each new Semaphore 86 fixture
reduced Shape's lighting energy cost by $114.06
per year for a total cost savings of $10,357 per
year. Light levels increased by an average of 87%.
Customer feedback

"Our goal was to transform our facility into a
brighter, more worker friendly place for our
associates to do their jobs, while reducing our
overall energy costs. Light's Semaphore 86 and
Sempahore 88 were good solutions for what we
wanted to create."
