Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Perform tasks to troubleshoot and repair equipment and tooling, develop preventative maintenance plans, keep records, and organize equipment. This role must be capable of setting up and operating a variety of machine tools and machining equipment and diagnosing equipment and tooling failures in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Journeyman Tool and Die Maker OR 10 years of documented Tool and Die experience OR Journeyman Electrician
• Previous CNC knowledge and experience

Essential Job Functions and Skills include, but are not limited to, the following

• Create, repair, set up, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment
• Orient and/or train other maintenance personnel on specialized equipment and tasks
• Operate all machines in the tool room to perform required machining tasks. These include but are not limited to:
  • Milling, both vertical and horizontal
  • CNC equipment
  • Presses, both drill, and radial
  • Grinders
  • Lathes
  • Saws, both band and vertical
  • Welders, mig, and tig
  • Torches
• Good working relationships and effective communication with vendors, team members, suppliers, and project teams
• Complete and manage work orders via Plex operating system
• Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, and directed by the leader
