Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Are you a self-starter? Eager to learn? Team player? If so, we want to hear from you! LightCorp is seeking an immediate full-time 3rd Shift Supervisor CHAMPION to supervise and develop team membersĀ and manage the performance of the assigned value stream across all shifts.Ā 

Preferred education and experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering preferred
  • Five+ years of experience in leadership in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer software skills using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Practical knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing principles

Deliverables:

  • Development and execution of lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery measures
  • Development of subordinate leaders to fuel opportunities for company advancement
  • Manage resources to achieve value stream goals in safety, cost, quality, and delivery

Essential job functions and skills include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Team player with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Lead change through Lean system development, implementation, and training
  • Execute problem-solving and record findings and resolutions in the Problem Control system
  • Staff management
  • Approve time clock records daily and ensure department reporting is accurate
  • Approve and plan for associate vacation requests
  • Conduct timely and complete performance evaluations of direct reports
  • Assess subordinates’ skill sets, current and future development needs, and take steps to mentor and develop the team appropriately
  • Set clear expectations and hold individuals accountable to performance standards and strategic objectives
  • Evaluate staffing needs based on demand and requests/reposition staff as needed
  • Conduct effective standard communication requirements and non-standard communication as needed
  • Conduct shift start-up KPI review meetings
  • Conduct weekly KPI issue review by providing detailed performance input
  • Manage KPI issue resolution using all necessary resources and soliciting upper management support as needed.
  • Conduct shift overlap meetings with counterpart to pass along critical information
  • Perform leader standard work each day to ensure critical functions and processes are completed
  • Daily quality spot audits
  • Daily 5s audits
  • Weekly/monthly/quarterly project completion
  • Microsoft applications skills must be adequate to create and maintain spreadsheets, graphs, and write performance reviews
  • Completion of miscellaneous duties and projects as directed by LightCorp leadership
