Behind the Design

Aesthetically minded and function focused, Justin Champaign’s (left) design philosophy aims to create thoughtful goods and experiences for life. An industrial designer with a BFA in furniture design from California College of the Arts, Justin has been a design leader in organizations including Pablo Designs, Hightower Studio, Landscape Forms, Jasper Seating Group, Design Within Reach, Steelcase, HON, and Most Modest which he founded in 2013.

Ben Salthouse (right) studied industrial design at Philadelphia University and landed his first “real” job at Michael Graves’s studio. After drinking his fill out of the fountain of postmodernism he rode his bicycle across the country and back. 5,500 miles later he began teaching at the California College of the Arts and freelancing in the Bay Area for everyone from engineering consultancies to furniture designers.
